Philosophy
Learn to care for you body, it's the finest instrument you will ever own.
Education and training are the foundations to an effective physical rehabilitation program. Recognizing the important role
the patient plays and family plays in the recovery process, their active participation is encouraged with training and educational activities.
Each patient will receive an individualized home exercise program on the first visit. The road from disability to ability is a journey in building self-efficacy step by step, day by day. Our mission is to support that journey.
Modern quality care encompasses both science and art. Science strongly supports therapeutic exercise and manipulation as an approach for many pain problems. The skillful application is needed to blend these and other physical therapy resources to address the components of motion and function: posture, flexibility, stability, balance, motor control, sensation, strength, endurance and body awareness. Mike has extensive training and experience to guide patients' progress.
Getting serious about Quality and Outcomes.
All clinicians and case workers are challenged to demonstrate the quality on their work with patients. Accurate measure of the quality of care requires the use of an independent outcome measurement instrument. We use the Patient Inquiry (PI) by FOTO Inc. the international leader in outcome measurement. PI objectively measures the injured worker's perception of limitations and abilities. There are many studies that demonstrate that an injured worker's perceptions are stronger indicator than physical findings for escalating medical treatment costs and for disability.
